Solo & Chamber Music Program

Concert Series

The Friday Morning Music Club offers free, classical chamber music concerts from September through June throughout the DC metropolitan area at 15+ venues. These hour-long programs feature a variety of instrumental and vocal ensembles performing an eclectic repertoire ranging from well-known favorites to rarely heard gems across the centuries—including the 21st!

These programs—and the programs on our Composers Series—feature the Club’s Solo and Chamber Performance Members, skilled professional and amateur musicians admitted via FMMC’s audition process. Performance Members may include guest musicians in their performances. Our Student Members who have received awards through FMMC’s local student competitions may perform in FMMC’s student recitals throughout the year. All performance members value this opportunity to volunteer their talents, in keeping with the Club’s public service mission.

Performance Application

The 2025-26 Performance Application is closed. 

We use this information to plan our upcoming concert schedule and invite applicants to play. If you missed the application deadline, please write to chamber@fmmc.org to find out about possible substituting opportunities. Also, the FMMC Outreach Program welcomes you to participate. You can learn more about auditions and renew your membership online.

• Strathmore Mansion at Strathmore Arts Center in North Bethesda, MD, first Thursday of November-April at 1pm. Parking is limited. Please consider taking Metro or carpooling.
