Bequests

A bequest allows you to designate a specific amount or percentage of your estate to FMMC. A bequest is a gift made through a will or a living trust. It’s the most popular planned gift, the easiest to make, and costs nothing during your lifetime.

A bequest can be included in a new will, or added to an existing will or living trust through a simple amendment called a codicil.

Here is some simple sample language:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Friday Morning Music Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable organization having its principal office at 755 8th Street, Washington DC 20001, $/%, to be used for its general purposes.”
