Solo & Chamber Music Program
Concert Series
The Friday Morning Music Club offers free, classical chamber music concerts from September through June throughout the DC metropolitan area at 15+ venues. These hour-long programs feature a variety of instrumental and vocal ensembles performing an eclectic repertoire ranging from well-known favorites to rarely heard gems across the centuries—including the 21st!
These programs—and the programs on our Composers Series—feature the Club’s solo and chamber performing members, skilled amateur and professional musicians admitted by audition. Our student members perform recitals throughout the year as well. All performance members value this opportunity to volunteer their talents, in keeping with the Club’s public service mission.

Current performance members who wish to perform in one of FMMC’s Chamber Program concerts next season should apply online now. The Program Director and venue chairs will use this information to plan our next season’s concert schedule and invite participants to play. You can learn more about auditions and renew your membership online.

- Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia, Annandale, VA, Friday at 1pm (once a year)
- Live! at 10th and G, Washington, DC, third Friday of each month at 12pm (9 times a year)
- Lyceum, Alexandria, VA, Sundays at 3pm (September, November, February, and April)
- Old Town Hall, Fairfax, VA, third Thursday of the month at 12pm (October through April)
- Riderwood Retirement Community, Silver Spring, MD, Sundays at 7:30pm (3 times a year)
- St. George’s Episcopal Church, Arlington, VA, first and second Fridays at 12pm (16 times a year)
- Strathmore Mansion at Strathmore Arts Center in North Bethesda, MD, first Thursday of November-April at 1pm. Parking is limited. Please consider taking Metro or carpooling.
