MEMBER NEWS:

  • JERRY SCHWARZ, clarinet; NICHOLAS FOBE, viola; and ROBERT ROSEN, piano, will perform the Serenade, Opus 24, by Emil Hartmann (1836-1898) on Thursday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m., as part of a free concert sponsored by the Southwest Chamber Players at Saint Augustine's Episcopal Church, Maine Ave. and Sixth Street, SW (Metro: Waterfront-SEU). The program will also include Three Romances for clarinet and piano by Schumann and Beethoven's Septet, Opus 20.
     
  • As part of Fete de la musique, sponsored by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, CHIME will present CHRISTINE KHARAZIAN, violin, and FRANK CONLON, piano, in a program, "From Bach to Gershwin," on June 19th, 7:30 - 9:00 pm, at the Church of the Annunciation, 3810 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20016.   • GWYN JONES, flute, and ROSANNE CONWAY, piano, will perform a program of 20th century flute and piano music on Friday, June 25, 7:30 pm, in the Great Hall of The Charles Sumner School, 1201 Seventeenth St., NW.Ý (17th & M Streets). The recital is free and open to the public. Program: Jean Rivier, Sonatine for flute and piano; John La Montaine, Conversations; and Jindrich Feld, Sonata for flute and piano.
