- Announcing FLUTOPIA, An Evening of Flute Music by Donna Kelly Eastman, played by the members of Flauto Dolce and guests. Performers include Amy Cavazos; Maria Luisa de la Cerda with Mieko Kurata Hobbs, soprano; Linda Eagleson with Brigitta Czernik-Gruenther, cello; Toby Rotman with Karin Staudenmayer, piano; and Teresa Spisak.
When and where: Friday evening, September 19th at 8:00.

A chamber concert of choral music by "German Master Composers" will be performed by The Washington Kantorei under the direction of Dr. Dale Voelker at 8 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the German Embassy, 4645 Reservoir Road NW, Washington, DC. A reception will follow the concert. On the program are J. S. Bach's motet Jesu, meine Freude; two lieder for double choir by Robert Schumann, Ungewisses Licht and Zuversicht; modern works by Leipzig composer E. Mauersberger and Dresden composer Manfred Weiss and a "Pseudo-Yoik" by the Finnish composer Jaakko Mäntyjärvi. Member Vera Kochinowsky isİproviding the continuo accompaniment for the Bach motet.
Tickets for the performance cost $15 by advance purchase or $20 at the door. Seating is limited. Advance purchase may be made by sending your check and a stamped self-addressed envelope to: The Washington Kantorei, 1011 Hillwood Avenue, Falls Church, VA 22042. Please includeİwith your order the names of the people for whom you are ordering tickets; as the Embassy security needs a list of advance ticket holders. Please note also that embassy security also requires that all patrons bring with them a driver's license or other photo ID card.
